The International Paella Valenciana Contest of Sueca and Tartana Rice have signed an agreement whereby the Valencian rice brand will be the official sponsor of the international semifinals. Thanks to this sponsorship, all the paellas that are cooked in the competitions that Concurs organizes around the world will be made with the ‘bomba’ rice type of Tartana, guaranteeing its presence in the contests of Costa Rica, Australia, the United States, Japan or France.
Tartana is specialized in rice and derivatives, in the high-end segment. Rice is cultivated in the traditional way by means of craft techniques of production adapted to the new times, and the drying is done in the sun, with the breeze of the Mediterranean Sea, something that gives the product an excellent quality that makes it a reference for chefs and foodies. The products that it commercializes come all of its facilities in the Natural Park of the Albufera of Valencia.
Vicent Baldoví, councilman of the Concurs, said that “thanks to the sponsors this Concurs has gone so far and has also helped us to carry the name of Sueca all over the world”. The event counts with the invaluable collaboration of different sponsors that contribute resources in kind or economic support.
On Wednesday, March the 1st will be the official presentation of the next edition of the Concurs and the new international semi finals to the media, in the idyllic location of la Muntanyeta dels Sants in Sueca. The event was also presented this year, for the first time, in Fitur, one of the most important showcases of the Spanish tourism sector.
